If you see the beginning of stains, use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth to gently rub the soiled areas of the awning. Spray the fabric off and let it dry completely. If you hear any creaky noises, a gentle lubricant should clear up the problem, but make sure not to get any on the fabric of the awning.
